The renovation and expansion of MMC Resort in Primorsko, Bulgaria, draws on the exceptional natural qualities of its setting along the Black Sea coast. Located adjacent to the southern beach, the site is separated from the shoreline by a protected belt of sand dunes. An extensive deciduous forest provides natural shading and cooling, while sea breezes contribute to a comfortable microclimate even during the hottest summer days.

The architectural concept is based on respecting the surrounding landscape and minimizing the visual impact of new construction. Simple horizontal volumes, transparent façades, and slender roof structures establish a natural relationship with the terrain and existing vegetation. New accommodation, recreational, and communal facilities are organized around open public spaces, swimming pools, and outdoor terraces, creating a seamless connection between architecture and landscape.

A minimalist architectural language and restrained material palette allow the natural environment to remain the defining element of the project. The result is a contemporary seaside resort designed for visitors of all ages, where architecture preserves and enhances the site's distinctive character and sense of place.
